The Ultimate Question for the pseudo-Macedonists of FYROM
Mt. Athos: an autonomous state in Macedonia…has always been autonomous and has enjoyed relative peace throughout the tumultuous history of the Balkans.
The obvious question and it really is a simple one:
If “ethnic-Macedonians” existed and were persecuted by Greeks and Bulgarians and Serbians in the non-autonomous part of Macedonia (under Ottoman rule)…WHERE ARE THEIR MONASTERIES ON MT. ATHOS?
There were no wars fought on Mt. Athos. Yet all Balkan, Russian, and Georgian Orthodox missions exist on Mt. Athos since the Byzantine era.
Where are the Makedonski monasteries? Were the monks ethnically cleansed from there too?
Just a few thoughts to work on…
